    Yoga for Us
    This mother and baby yoga provides an inviting atmosphere to exercise, meet other new moms, and bond with your little ones. Move, breathe, dance, stretch, and strengthen as you practice yoga with your baby.

    Indoor Park Play
    Families with children 1 to 6 years of age can join in the fun. Run, jump and climb in our climate controlled sportsplex. Parent supervision required. Check in at the front desk.

    Sun: 9:30 am -12 pm
    Cost: Free for members, $2 for guests
    Get a cup of coffee at Cafe at the J and enjoy the social time with other parents and their young ones as they play.

    Youth/Teen

    Yoga for Kids

    This class will help kids improve strength, flexibility, postural awareness and coordination. Kids will learn various yoga poses, breathing practices and relaxation techniques in a fun and safe environment.

    Yoga for Teens
    This class will help by improving strength, flexibility, postural awareness and coordination. Kids will learn various yoga poses, breathing practices and relaxation techniques in a fun and safe environment.
    Ages: 10-14, Tues, 4/1-6/3, 4:30-5:25 pm, Free, no class 4/29

    Youth Fit
    Be the best athlete you can be at the MJCC! Build total body strength with an MJCC instructor. Participants will be challenged to improve their speed, agility and quickness in a fun, dynamic hour.
    Ages: 8-14, M/W, 3/31-6/4, 4:00-5:00 pm, Free, no class 4/21, 4/28, 5/26

    Youth Personal Training
    The program is one-on-one personal training for kids. Training can consist of sports-specific training focusing on baseball, basketball, football and/or soccer. Kids can also choose training to improve speed and quickness, strength and fitness training. Packages are available.
    Cost: M: $50 Guest: $60 per hr
    M: $30 Guest: $40 per .5 hr.


    Spring Camp

    Strength, Speed & Quickness
    Participants will learn how to lift weights properly and use cardio machines to build total body strength. Kids will be challenged to improve their speed and quickness in a fun, dynamic, action-packed session.
    3/24-3/28: Ages: 8-14, M/T/W/Th/F, 9:30 am-12 pm, FIT 201, $54/$68

    Junior Fitness Center
    MJCC Junior fitness room is a great place for boys and girls ages 10-14. The staff will provide guidance and assistance in proper use of machines and equipment.

    Runs through 6/4
    Hours: Mon, Wed, from 6-8 pm

    Cardio equipment includes:
    - 2 Stationary bicycles
    - 2 Elliptical trainers
    - 3 Treadmills
    - 2 Stairmasters
    Other equipment includes: Bench press machine, Universal machine with 4 stations, Sit up bench, Martial arts kick boxing bags, and Dumbells.

    Adult Fitness Classes
    Classes are Free to members and day pass users.
    No registration required!
    No classes on all building closure dates, administrative office closure dates and limited building hours dates.

    Class Descriptions

    Did you know . . .
    Cycling is an excellent calorie burner, using about 600 calories in an hour. Also, it tones and shapes your quadriceps like no other sport!

    Cycling
    Be prepared to sprint, climb and sweat in this highly motivating group biking experience. Each rider determines his or her own pace, making this class appropriate for all levels of fitness.

    Low Impact Fitness
    The low impact class is designed for adults with an active lifestyle. This group exercise class focuses on muscle strength, balance, cardiovascular health, coordination and functional movement without the impact. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing and a ball are used for resistance and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

    Power Hour
    Give your entire body balanced training in this variety class that combines aerobic exercise and muscular conditioning. This class will include a strong focus on core training. Can be modified for varying fitness levels.

    The primary focus of Pilates is to enhance core strength and overall postural support. The entire body works to balance muscular strength and develop flexibility. Technique and alignment are emphasized.

    This is an expressive movement class that uses body movements to achieve physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual fitness and well being.

    Yoga
    Learn breath and body awareness, optimal posture and body mechanics. Focus on correct positioning to strengthen lower back, abdominal muscles, legs and upper body. Open to all skill levels. This class promotes balance, flexibility, and stress reduction.

    Zumba!
    Join this exciting new fitness class. Ditch the workout and join the party. Zumba is a fusion of latin and international music with dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness program. The routines feature aerobic/ fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps. Instructor Rosella Hunter.

    Power Fitness Classes

    Full Body Conditioning

    A full body muscle conditioning class that includes strength training, muscle endurance, plyometrics, isometrics, core training, balance, coordination, speed and agility. To guarantee your spot, pre-register for each session or pay per visit at $5/$15 per class based on space availability.

    Pilates Reformer
    This class uses the Pilates Reformer machine which is a sliding platform with a series of pulleys, springs and straps that encourages you to use correct posture and maintain stability while you are exercising. Using the springs, you can increase the resistance as you gain proficiency, letting you further define and tone your muscles.
