Giving to the MJCC

Plant A Tree for the Next Generation
There’s a well-known story from the Talmud about a man known as Honi the Circle-Maker. In it, Honi sees an elderly man planting a carob tree. He asks the man how long it will take for the tree to bear fruit and the man replies “Seventy years.” “And will you live another seventy years to enjoy its fruit?” Honi asks. “No,” the man replies, “But when I came into the world I found carob trees which my forefathers planted for me, so I too plant these for my children.”

You can start planting now for future generations by making a commitment to support the MJCC—a vital part of the community. The MJCC relies on the support of individuals to make contributions that will ensure we are able to continue to offer a wide array of programming that meets the needs of our diverse community.

As the elderly man taught Honi, we have the responsibility to future generations to plant the trees that will bear fruit years from now. Be a part of this commitment to sustain one of our community’s most important cultural and educational resources—the MJCC.
