Team Registration:
- Complete Registration Form
- Team registration fee for Fall 2 and Winter Sessions is $560 per team. All
other sessions are $520 per team. Team registration fees are non-transferable and non-refundable. Registration is on a First Come, First Serve basis.
- Schedules will be made available to your team three days prior to your first game. A copy of your schedule will be provided when roster card is complete and submitted. Schedules and standings will be posted on the web by your second game of a session.
- Completed roster must be turned in prior to the first game. Teams may make roster changes up to the third game of a session.
- Make sure players register and verify membership prior to first game. Plan on being at your first game at least 15 minutes in advance.
Divisions:
- Divisions are assigned to one primary game day and may include alternate game days. Game days are assigned to divisions. Some divisions will play on alternate game days depending upon; the length of the session, the number of teams participating, recognized holidays over the course of a session Divisions may be assigned to play on any other day(s). Teams should register for a division based upon their skill level.
- Please remember to consider your team's position in the current standings when re-registering. Your team may be promoted or relegated depending upon its standings at the end of the session. This may effect your team if you share players in divisions above or below your current divisions. Teams in the top three and bottom three positions are subject to movement. Speak with your league manager to confirm your team's position in the division at the end of the session.
Co-ed Soccer:
These leagues are meant to be recreational and we will strive to keep it that way. Referees will enforce the following special rules:
- There must be a minimum of 2 women on the field at all times, not including
the goalkeeper. If the goalkeeper is a woman, 2 other women must be in the
field. Exception: If a woman is serving a 2 minute penalty or if a team only has 2 women present, the team will play with a minimum of two women on the field.
- Women will take all free kicks.
- If the referee feels a shoulder charge is too rough, a direct free kick will be awarded.
- Any charges around the boards will be considered boarding and a free kick will be awarded and a time penalty may be awarded.
Players Equipment:
- Flat soled shoes designed for artificial surfaces or basketball style tennis shoes must be used (NO STUDDED, SCREW IN CLEATS, LONG MOLDED CLEATS, OR HIKING SHOES ALLOWED).
- Goalkeepers must wear colors which distinguish them from other players and referees.
- All team members must wear the same colored jerseys. If colors conflict, home teams must provide alternate jersey's or penny's.
- SHIN GUARDS AND SOCKS COVERING SHIN GUARDS ARE REQUIRED!!!
- A player shall not wear anything which is dangerous to another player. Earrings, studs, other piercings, necklaces or chains must be removed. If a player is unable to remove a ring, it shall be taped on his/her finger to prevent it from injuring another player. Any players with a cast will not be allowed to play. A brace must be padded to the satisfaction of the referee. If a player fails to carry out a referees instruction, the player shall not participate until he/she has complied with the referees instructions.
Referees Authority:
- The authority of the referee and their exercise of the powers granted to them by the MJCC Indoor Soccer Official Rule Book shall commence when they enter the Indoor Center. The referees are responsible for the record of the game and the control of the timekeeper (when used).
Referees Powers:
- The referees power of penalizing extends to offenses committed
when play has been temporarily suspended or when the ball is out of play.
Referees' decisions on point of fact and interpretation of these rules connected
with play shall be final so far as the result of the game is concerned.
- Enforce the rules: Should a player commit two or more infringements of a different nature the referee shall penalize the more serious offense.
- Advantage: Refrain from penalizing in cases where they are satisfied that by
so doing, they would give an advantage to the offending team.
- Discretionary Power: The referees have discretionary power to stop the game
for any infringement of the rules, interference of the spectators or other cause
that they deem such a stoppage necessary. In such case a detailed report shall
be submitted to management of MJCC Indoor Soccer.
- Penalize/Caution: from the time they enter the field of play, they may penalize
any playing or non-playing team personnel guilty of misconduct -caution any
player for unsportsmanlike behavior and, if he/she persists, eject the offending
person from further participation in the game.
- Illegal Entry: The referee shall not allow any person other than the players to
enter the field of play without permission.
- Injury Stoppage: The referee shall stop the game if in their opinion, a player
has been injured; have the player(s) removed, as soon as possible, from the field
of play and immediately resume the game.
- Ejection: The referee shall send off the field of play or out to the bench or out
of the building area any player or non-playing personnel who, in their opinion, is
guilty of: Violent conduct or serious foul play, foul or abusive language/behavior,
persistent misconduct or chewing gum after having received a caution. On dual
RED-CARDS both players are ejected from play and no player serves penalty
time.
- Recommencement: The referee shall signal the recommencement of the
game after all stoppages.
- Ball and Equipment Approval: The referee shall decide that the ball and other
equipment provided for a match meet the requirements of these rules.
- Non-Player Discipline The referee shall caution or eject as set forth in these
rules, any coach or non-playing team personnel, or spectator who enters
the field of play without the referees permission.
General:
- There will be at least one official on the field of play.
- When there are two referees on the field they will have equal authority and responsibility.
- They shall keep a record of the game and act as timekeeper/scorekeeper.
- If a player leaves the bench to engage in misconduct, that player may receive an automatic RED CARD and immediate three game suspension.
Red Card Policy:
A player or coach sent off in a game or scrimmage by a referee will be
suspended according to the following guidelines:
- A player or coach red carded for the offense of "foul or abusive language" will miss the
next league game.
- A player or coach red carded for the offense of "persistent infringement" of the rules of
the game after receiving a caution or for third two minute penalty will miss the next
league game.
- A player or coach red carded for "violent conduct" (can include spitting, threatening
continued rough play, etc.) will miss the next three league games and may be faced with
further disciplinary action as decided by the Center Management.
- A player or coach red carded for "assaulting an Official" will automatically be suspended
from further activity at MJCC Indoor Soccer.
- Any player or coach red carded twice in one season, for any reason, shall serve an
additional suspension as determined by the Judiciary Committee.
- Any team that refuses to divulge the name of the ejected player or coach will not be allowed to
continue playing until the name is given to the referee or facility manager.
League Standing Point System:
- 3 points for a win
- 1 point for a tie
- 0 points for a loss
- League games that end in a tie score after regulation will remain a tie.
League Division Ties:
Any league division ending in a tie at the end of the league season
shall be governed by the following tie breaking system:
- (1st) compare head to head league record.
- (2nd) goal differential.
- (3rd) most goals scored "for" during the season.
- (4th) least goals scored "against" during the season.
- (5th) Playoff game
Starting Times:
- Teams with the minimum number (4) of players to start will take the field
when signaled to do so by the referee. Failure to comply will result in a 2 minute penalty for
delay of game. Teams without the minimum number of players to start will forfeit the match.
