Membership Usage/Refund 

The MJCC does not refund memberships based on lack of use. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Refunds due to routine maintenance closures or other closures deemed necessary by the MJCC staff will not be granted.

Membership Freeze

You may request to put your membership on inactive status or a freeze by completing an official MJCC Freeze Form, which may be obtained from the website or Welcome Desk. Your membership will automatically reactivate on the date designated on your freeze form. 

Membership Cancellation

You may resign from membership by completing an official MJCC Cancellation Form, which may be obtained from the website or Welcome Desk. Be aware of what type of membership you have and any remaining commitment. The form must be turned in by the twentieth of the month in order to be effective for the first of the following month.

As a member of the Mittleman Jewish Community Center, you’ll enjoy access to a wide range of benefits including a recently refreshed fitness area along with events and activities all year round and more. Current offerings and social activities provided by the MJCC at the time of initiating membership may change or be discontinued at any time and fees for any activity may be implemented and /or increased in the future. The commitment to fulfill your contract with the MJCC remains the same even if activity availability changes.

Enrollment FAQs
• You may register online or in person at the Welcome Desk.
• Payment must be provided at time of registration to guarantee a spot.
• If participants miss a class, they are not allowed to drop into other classes. If a class or program is cancelled due to inclement weather or other cause, we are unable to schedule make-up sessions or provide refunds.

Registration Cancellation Policy
Unless otherwise stated for a specific program, general policy regarding class cancellation is as follows:
• Cancellation made at least 6 days
   before class start date: full refund
• Cancellation within 5 days of the first
   day of class: no refund

Class Registration Deadline
Unless otherwise stated for a specific program, registration for all classes closes the Wednesday before the first class. Late registrations will not be accepted.

Day Camp Cancellation Policy
MJCC Day camp reserves the right to cancel camp programs due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. Should cancellations occur, Day Camp staff will contact the parents/guardians prior to the camp and refunds or transfers will be given. Typically, this will occur seven to ten days before a camp begins. MJCC Day camp also reserves the right to dismiss a camper whose behavior violates our Behavior Agreement, in which case no refund is given. Any changes or cancellations will be charges $50 per camp. Cancellations made within 14 days of the start of camp will not be refunded.

Organizational Policies

MJCC Statement of Non-Discrimination
The Mittleman Jewish Community Center (MJCC) assures that no person shall be discriminated against because of race, color, creed, sex, age, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, religion, political affiliation, veterans status, physical, sensory or mental disability, familial status, or any other reasons protected under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, section 504 of the Rehabilitation act of 1973 and the Americans with Disability Act. No person shall be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity for which they are otherwise eligible. Employees, volunteers, and the families of employees or volunteers can be served in MJCC programs as long as they meet eligibility requirements for a program; such individuals shall not receive preference over other individuals eligible for a program nor be discriminated against because of being an MJCC employee, volunteer, or family member of an employee or volunteer.

Inclement Weather Policy
In the event of extreme weather or other outside circumstances that may impact the MJCC’s normal operations, members will be notified of any changes to normally scheduled activities via email.  Closures, delayed start times or limited services are also posted on the website. There will not be a refund if classes or events are canceled in the event of extreme weather or other circumstances outside of our control.

What Information We Collect and How We Use That Information
Our registration forms require users to give us contact information that may include name, email address, format preference (HTML vs. text), address, interests, and similar information. We do not request or store sensitive information such as social security numbers from our visitors.

Donor Privacy Policy
The Mittleman JCC does not and will not sell, trade, or share a donor's personal information with any other agency or entity.

Internet Protocol Address
We collect an IP address from all visitors to our site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our site, analyze trends, track users' movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Use of "Cookies"

Tell-A-Friend
If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our site, we ask for the friend's name and e-mail address. The Mittleman JCC stores this information for the sole purpose of sending the requested information.
