Portland Jewish Academy is a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland and is proud of our partnership with them in strengthening our local Jewish community as well as the global community.

Portland Jewish Academy and Schnitzer Family Campus partner Mittleman Jewish Community Center are proud partners with the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland to bring the Harold Grinspoon Foundation's PJ Library program to Jewish children in Portland.

Fair Share: Your Chance to Participate

The Portland Jewish Academy community of volunteers is a dynamic network of families—students, parents, grandparents and others—who work together to provide our children with the best education possible. Families that cannot volunteer are urged to make a donation of at least $180 to PJA's Annual Fund in place of their time.  Contributions of time and money, at all giving levels, are greatly appreciated.

How it works:

We ask that each family volunteer a minimum of 18 hours per year. This includes, among other things, volunteering for fundraising projects, in-class assistance, and accompanying classes on field trips.

Log your fair share hours online.

Here’s how to get started:

Complete a volunteer information form available in the PJA office.

Ask your child's teacher for volunteer opportunities.

Check in the following places for regularly posted opportunities:

Please contact Rosanne Levi, our Development Assistant or call 503.452.3421 for more information.
