After-School Activities
When the school day ends, students have nearly endless options on the PJA campus. From organized sports to supervised social time with their friends and classes in robotics to the Mittleman Jewish Community Center rock wall, our offerings keep afternoons fun and exciting for PJA students.
These widely varied after-school activities are part of PJA’s philosophy that an education should address all aspects of a well-rounded life; intellectual, physical and social.
After-School Classes
Our fun and lively learning atmosphere continues after school for many PJA students. We design our after school offerings to reflect student interests. These have included band, creative writing, chess club, robotics, drama and girls’ empowerment. To learn more about these classes, please contact the PJA Office or call 503.244.0126 for more information.
After-School Sports
Lively kids need an active outlet. Our students can get their game on through competitive sports offered by PJA and after-school programs at our campus partner, the Mittleman Jewish Community Center. PJA middle school students can compete in boys’ basketball or co-ed cross country. Steps away, the MJCC offers after-school basketball, soccer, gymnastics, swimming lessons and a wide variety of other programs.
The MJCC
PJA shares its campus with the newly renovated Mittleman Jewish Community Center. The campus includes a rock wall, gymnasium, an indoor SportsPlex with space for gymnastics, volleyball, and indoor soccer, playing fields and basketball court. Parents and students can access these facilities, as members or guests, along with two swimming pools, after school and on weekends.
