Weightlifting is a recommended way to improve mental health, positive body image, confidence, and sports performance. Beginning students will determine their goals, and over the course of seven weeks the class will learn about safety, injury prevention and performance improvement. The instructor will cover essential machines, bands, dumbbells, barbells, warm up, workout, and stretching. As well as kettlebells, handles, grips, settings, TRX, Pilates, yoga, cross training, and recovery, (off season sports specialists are dependent upon student interest and if time allows). Stats will be recorded for tracking progress. Special attention: two or more days of practice are recommended between classes. Commitment to positively influence your health is required.
