Maccabi Games 2018
2018 JCC Maccabi Games® and ArtsFest® - Exciting Opportunity for Jewish Athletes and Artists Ages 13-16!
During the past two summers, the MJCC has brought nearly 40 teens to experience JCC Maccabi Games® and ArtsFest®. It has been truly inspiring to see teens from Oregon represent our state on an international level. It was evident that the Games and ArtsFest had a long-lasting impact on each of them. Basketball Gold Medalist and Portland area teen Sam Blauer commented, “Participating in the JCC Maccabi Games® helped complete my summer as a whole and I am grateful to have been a part of the delegation.”
JCC Maccabi is more than a competition; it promotes community involvement, teamwork, and Jewish engagement, and brings together teen participants, community volunteers, coaches, and host families.
The 2018 JCC Maccabi Games® and ArtsFest®
will take place August 5 - 10 in Orange County, CA and Long Beach, CA. Team Oregon will have 17 teen representatives in severalsports/arts including basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, rock band, track and field, ice hockey, and more! While registration for the Games has closed, we are still accepting applications for artists in the areas of acting/improv, musical theatre, visual arts, social media squad, and vocal performance (for ages 12 - 17).
Application deadline has passed. If you or someone you know is still interested in joining our delegation, whether as an athlete or artist, please contact Lenny Steinberg at email@example.com or 503.535.3555.
2018 JCC Maccabi Games® and ArtsFest®
The Jewish Community Center Association of North America (JCCA) has invited the MJCC to send a delegation of athletes to the JCC Maccabi Games® and ArtsFest®! Maccabi involves over 3,500 Jewish athletes and artists, ages 13 - 16, who gather at different locations in North America each summer.

We are hoping to bring even more athletes in 2017 so we can share this experience with more Jewish teens (ages 13 - 16) in the state of Oregon. Looking for more information on how to be a part of the Games?
